Suggested Procedures
The following are suggestions for carrying out the task.
1. Before starting
Familiarise yourself with the
“Teacher Notes and Background Information for Powerpoint Presentation”
Preview the “Divided World Powerpoint Presentation (narrated version)” and see how the teacher notes fit with it.
2. Present the Divided World Powerpoint introduction yourself
OR
Have the students watch the Teenage Affluenza Video, and then view the Powerpoint (narrated version)
3. Provide project instructions
Read the “Task Instructions” out to the class (or have students help read it to class). Dicuss the type of presentation you would like them to create, time frames, submission method and date etc.
4. Scoping
Allow the students some time to investigate some initial options for their topic.
5. Project underway
Guide and support the students in finding useful resources. Make use of the extra links provided here where appropriate.
